Box Score UTICA – Hinds Community College men's basketball fell to Delgado Community College 71-70 on a buzzer-beater to open the 2022-2023 campaign Thursday evening.
 
The Bulldogs were up by as much as 17 points in the game and were up 38-23 at the half. As the game went on, the Dolphins clawed back and eventually took their first lead of the night in the final minutes of the game.
 
Leading the charge for the Bulldogs scoring wise was Patrick McCraney (Monroe, LA), who cashed in 18 points. Just behind McCraney was Taylon Smith (Vicksburg), who had 16 points, which included four made three pointers.
 
Rounding out the scoring for the Bulldogs was Malachi Martin (Clinton) with nine points, Edarious Williams (Coffeeville) with eight points, Isaiah Daniel with eight points, Morgan Green (Greenville) with six points and Isaac Ratliff (Terry) with three points.
