RAYMOND – Hinds Community College women's soccer freshman midfielder Ana Santos (Brazil) was named Second-Team All-Conference by the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) when the conference announced their postseason awards Wednesday.
 
Santos was the key for the Lady Eagles to develop attacks on the offensive end by being the leading scorer with five goals. Santos also was the main shooter when it came to penalty kicks as she nailed all three of her attempts this season.
 
"We are all very excited and appreciative to have Ana Santos recognized by our MACCC coaches for her hard work and determination this season," said head coach Steve Otto. "The effort and commitment Ana puts in off the field to ensure her continued success on the field is contagious and has gone a long way in setting a higher standard for our Program going forward. In Ana's words, 'I can say without fear that I am living what will be one of the best phases of my life at Hinds CC and looking forward to next season.'"
