RAYMOND – After a slow start to the season, the Hinds Community College men's soccer team won their first game when they handled Holmes 4-1 in Raymond Friday evening. They look to use this momentum when they head to Senatobia to take on Northwest Tuesday afternoon.
The Eagles exploded for four goals in their first home match in over a month Friday. Leading the charge was João Pereira, who scored two goals on the evening.
Sonny Bizure (North Billerica, MA) and
Nicolas Jones (Chile) also contributed a goal. Bizure would finish with two assists in the contest.
Hinds sits at 1-6-1 overall and 1-2 in conference. They fell 0-2 in the opening game at Gulf Coast and fell 0-3 on the road at Co-Lin.
About the Rangers
Similarly, the Rangers of Northwest are sitting at 1-6 overall and 0-3 in conference. Two of their three conference games came against two top-ten opponents in Jones and Pearl River.
