BATON ROUGE, La. – The Hinds Community College Men's Basketball team dropped their season opener to Baton Rouge Community College by a final score of 81-56 on the road.
The Bulldogs fell behind early as the Bears took a commanding lead in the opening six minutes of play. Hinds fought back by was still down by 13 points at the halftime break.
The Bears outscored the Bulldogs 44-32 in the second half as Hinds took the 81-56 loss in the season opener.
Joseph Dupree led the Bulldogs goinf 6-for-11 from the field and shot 42.8 percent from behind the arc. Additionally, he tallied six rebounds, three assists, and scored 15 points which was a team high.
Edarious Williams shot 54.5 percent from the floor and finished the game with a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Isaiah Davis concluded the contest with 12 points, while
Joshua Lemon totaled eight points. Rounding out the scoring for the Bulldogs was
Jakobe Singleton with three points,
Jaquarrius Collum had two points,
LerMoyne Jones tallied two points, and
Elijah Kennedy finished with a point.
The Bulldogs will return to action on November 4 against Delgado Community College in New Orleans, La. Tipoff is set for 4:00 PM.
