NEW ORLEANS, La. –
JodyAnn Dixon of the Hinds Community College Women's Track & Field team was named the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Athlete of the Week following her performance at the Crimson Tide Invitational last weekend.
Dixon propelled to the top of the NJCAA with her first sub 60-second time in the 400 Meter Hurdles with a time of 58.41, which is a new school record.
JodyAnn teamed up with
Diandrenique Gaines,
Brianna Charles, and
Kiersten Clark in the 4x400 Relay and registered a 2
nd place finish with a time of 45.24 at the Crimson Tide Invitational.
Dixon and the rest of the Track and Field team will return to action on Friday, April 28 at the Mike McMillan Twilight in Clinton, MS.
