UTICA, Miss. – The Hinds Community College Men's Basketball team grabbed an 88-56 conference victory over Coahoma on Thursday evening inside J.D. Boyd Gymnasium.
The Bulldogs came out clicking on all cylinders in the first half dominating on both ends of the floor and found themselves with the 43-20 advantage at the halftime break. Hinds continued to shoot well from the floor in the second half to earn the 88-56 convincing win over the Coahoma CC Tigers as the Bulldogs picked up their second conference win.
Joshua Lemon led all scorers with 17 points and shot 7-8 from the floor.
Jakobe Singleton scored the only double-double in the contest with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Edarious Williams also posted 14 points in the game, while
Joseph Dupree finished with 12 points.
Kobe Jones and
Dion Perkins had eight points apiece in the win over Coahoma.
Marquis Williams totaled six points in the game, while Jamari had five points. Rounding out the scoring for the Bulldogs was
Jonathan Baker and
Nate Pruitt each had two points.
The Bulldogs will return to action on Monday, February 5 against East Central CC in Decatur. Tipoff is set for 7:30 PM.
