NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Hinds Community College Bulldogs put on an offensive clinic Monday night, defeating Delgado Community College 100–76 on the road. With the win, Hinds improved to 5-1 on the season and hit the century mark for the first time this season.
Sophomore forward
Terrance Clark led the way for Hinds with a monster performance, tallying 31 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists on an efficient 9-of-12 shooting from the field and a perfect 13-of-13 from the charity stripe. Clark's all-around effort set the tone for a balanced Hinds attack that saw five players score in double figures.
Abubakar Cham added 15 points and 12 rebounds, recording a double-double, while
Austin Ratliff chipped in 12 points and a game-high three steals.
Tyric Francois and
Jayden Bowie combined for 19 points to round out the Bulldogs' strong starting unit.
As a team, Hinds shot 57.1% from the field and 82.1% from the free-throw line, controlling the tempo throughout the second half after holding a 41-37 halftime lead. Hinds also dominated the boards, outrebounding Delgado 52-19, which was a key factor on building the lead.
Hinds will return to action on Thursday, November 13 against South Arkansas College inside J.D. Boyd Gymnasium for the first home game of the season. Tipoff is set for 5PM.
