Hinds Cheer Makes Program History With Dual Finals Appearances at UCA Nationals

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Hinds Raymond Cheer program delivered a historic performance at the 2026 UCA College Cheerleading National Championship this past weekend, advancing to the finals in two divisions for the first time in program history and earning Top‑10 national finishes in both. Competing among the nation's best inside the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Hinds showcased its growth, depth, and competitive edge throughout the event.

Hinds Finishes 5th in Open Small Coed Game Day

The Eagles earned a strong 5th‑place finish in the Open Small Coed Game Day division, posting an Event Score of 82.0167. The routine featured sharp execution, spirited crowd engagement, and clean material that positioned Hinds among the top JUCO programs in the country.

Hinds Places 8th in Open Small Coed Traditional

In the Open Small Coed Traditional division, Hinds secured an 8th‑place national ranking with an Event Score of 64.1. Despite a routine with high difficulty and competitive pressure, the team advanced through the semifinals before earning a place on the finals floor on Sunday. 

A Milestone Moment for the Program

By reaching the finals in two different categories and finishing inside the Top 10 in both, Raymond Cheer set a new standard for the program. The accomplishment reflects months of preparation, dedication, and commitment from the athletes and coaching staff.

Congratulations to the entire squad on an outstanding weekend in Orlando and a record‑setting appearance at UCA Nationals.
