RAYMOND, Miss. - The Hinds Community College Cheer team will host a UCA Nationals Showcase next week as they prepare to represent the college on the national stage in Orlando, Florida.
The showcase is scheduled for Wednesday, January 14, at 6:30 p.m. inside the Mayo Indoor Practice Facility and is open to students, faculty, staff, and the Hinds community. The event will serve as a final send-off for the team before traveling to compete at the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) National Championship.
Fans in attendance will get a first look at the routine the Eagles will perform at nationals, highlighting the athleticism, precision, and energy that have defined the program throughout the season. The showcase also provides an opportunity for the campus community to show support and encouragement as the team prepares for one of the most competitive cheer events in the country.
UCA Nationals brings together top cheer programs from across the nation, and Hinds Cheer will look to build on its tradition of excellence while competing against elite competition in Orlando.
Admission to the showcase is free, and fans are encouraged to wear maroon and show their Eagle pride as the team takes the floor one final time before nationals.
