COLLEGE: Was a member of the Hinds team which appeared in the 2017 NJCAA World Series. Member of Phi Theta Kappa and named Who’s Who Among Community and Junior Colleges.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered 4 years in baseball while in high school, 2 years at Porters Chapel Academy and 2 years at Warren Central High School with the latter being under coach Connor Douglas. While at Porters Chapel, hit .424 with 34 RBI’s. As a senior pitcher at Warren Central, posted a 6-2 record with a 2.53 ERA which earned him All-District honors. Also lettered 1 year in football and was named Team Captain. Was a member of Tri Beta Club and named to the Warren Central Student Hall of Fame.
PERSONAL: Graduated from Warren Central in 2016. Son of Mark and Judy Buys. Majoring in Kinesiology with plans for Physical Therapy.
