Assist Coach Alvin Franklin

Alvin Franklin


Alvin Franklin in his first year as an assistant coach with the Hinds baseball program. Franklin’s duties include overseeing the outfielders, assisting with the hitters and baserunners and leading the recruiting efforts for the Eagles.

Franklin also serves as the Sports Information Director for the Hinds athletic department. In this role, he oversees the promotion of Hinds athletics by developing marketing strategies to promote Hinds athletic teams and sporting events.

He comes to Hinds by way of Mississippi State University. Franklin served as a graduate assistant in athletic development while at Mississippi State and was named a 2016 NCAA Emerging Leader. Franklin coached the Pure Momentum Stars 18u summer team during the 2016 summer.

Franklin, a Jackson native, was a Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen at Murrah High School in 2011. He played his collegiate baseball at Meridian Community College and at Jackson State University, where he received a bachelor of business administration degree in economics. He received a master of science degree in sport administration from Mississippi State University.
