High School: Lettered four years under Kelly Greer and Josh Anderson at Florence High School. Awarded All-State Honors four consecutive years, three-time All-District honoree, and 2019 District MVP as senior. Participated in 2016 Baseball Factory World Series in Nebraska, State Games of Meridian participant, and 2018 Junior Sunbelt Classic participant. Twice was awarded with PBR MS player of the week in 2019. Clarion Ledger MS player of the year nominee in 2019 and Clarion Ledger All-State. Also, named to 2019 DM Howie All-Star game. As a senior, batted .528 with 7 home runs and a state leading 57 runs batted in. On the mound posted a 0.43 ERA, with 91 strikeouts in 48 innings pitched. For his career, he posted a .455 batting average with 18 long balls while winning 22 games on the mound with a 1.97 ERA.

Personal: Graduated from Florence High School in 2019. Son of Robert and Gina Ladner.
