Charles Lee came to Hinds in 2020, serving as the linebacker's coach.
Lee previously served as the recruiting coordinator and linebackers coach at Coahoma Community College from 2016-2019. While at CCC, Lee coached Davion Taylor, who was drafted this past offseason by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Prior to Coahoma, Lee served as the recruiting coordinator and linebacker’s coach at Northeast Mississippi Community College (NEMCC) from 2014-2015. While at NEMCC, several players he coached received all-state, all-region, and all-American honors.
Lee began his coaching career at the University of Mississippi, where he served as the quality control coach and was responsible for defensive recruiting.
From there, he moved on to the high school ranks for six years, where he coached the defensive line at Noxubee High School and Magee High School, with stops at Forest and Newton high schools in between. Among notable players he coached were NFL linebacker Deonta Skinner and former Hinds standout Marquez McNair.
Lee, of Kosciusko, graduated from Kosciusko High School. He earned an associate degree from Holmes Community College before attending the University of Mississippi, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology.
Lee currently lives in Raymond.
