Lady Eagles move DH with Co-Lin to Wednesday

The Hinds Community College softball team was scheduled to host Copiah-Lincoln Community College on Tuesday, but the two-game set has now been moved back to Wednesday.

Game time is set for 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Rene Warren Field in Raymond.

The Lady Eagles hosted East Central Community College on Friday in Raymond and came away with a split of the South division doubleheader.

Hinds won game one, 4-1, before falling in the nightcap, 15-1.

Alexis Kinard (Terry) and Bre Glenn (Brandon) each homered and drove in two runs apiece in the opener to account for the Lady Eagles' run production.

Bridgett Goss (Bogalusa, La.) was the winner in the circle after going a complete game, seven innings and allowing only one run and one walk while scattering seven hits to move to 4-6.

Hinds (8-14) was led by Meagan Duchesne (Mangham, La.) in game two, as she was a perfect 3-3 with a home run, RBI and run scored in the 15-1 loss.

Glenn also picked up two hits in the Friday finale versus the Lady Warriors.
