RAYMOND, Miss. – Hinds Community College freshman softball standout Abigail McLean has been named to the MACCC Softball Honorable Mention Team following an impressive 2026 season in the circle and at the plate for the Lady Eagles.

McLean proved to be one of the most versatile players in the conference, making a major impact as both a pitcher and hitter throughout the season.

Inside the circle, McLean posted an 11-7 record across 25 appearances and 23 starts while finishing with a 3.09 ERA over 113.2 innings pitched. She struck out 106 batters and held opposing hitters to a .190 batting average, consistently giving Hinds quality outings against top competition.

At the plate, McLean also delivered key offensive production for Hinds. She finished the year with a .360 batting average, collecting 46 hits, 13 doubles, two home runs, and 31 RBI. She added a .504 slugging percentage and a .433 on-base percentage while helping lead the Eagles lineup throughout conference play.

McLean and the rest of the Lady Eagles captured 33 victories during the 2026 season, marking the program's highest win total since 2006, and finished the year with an impressive 33-17 overall record.
