RAYMOND, Miss. – Former Hinds Community College head softball coach Andy Lee has been selected as a member of the 2026 NJCAA Softball Hall of Fame Class, recognizing one of the most accomplished coaching careers in junior college softball history.
Lee, who helped elevate multiple programs to national prominence during a coaching career spanning more than two decades, made a lasting impact during his time at Hinds from 2006-2008 before building national championship programs at LSU Eunice and Northwest Florida State College.
During his three seasons leading the Lady Eagles, Lee guided Hinds to steady improvement and postseason success, including a trip to the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament in 2008. His time at Hinds laid the foundation for what would become one of the most decorated resumes in NJCAA softball history.
Over his career, Lee compiled an astounding 1,007-238 overall record while winning six NJCAA National Championships and making numerous national tournament appearances. His championship runs at LSU Eunice established the Bengals as a national powerhouse, capturing NJCAA Division II national titles in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2019.
Lee later continued his success at Northwest Florida State College, leading the Raiders to the 2023 NJCAA National Runner-Up finish, a Final Four appearance in 2024, and the 2025 NJCAA Division I National Championship.
In addition to his team success, Lee earned numerous individual honors throughout his career, including multiple NJCAA Region 23 Coach of the Year awards and NFCA National Coach of the Year honors.
A Jackson, Mississippi native, Lee attended Hinds Community College before earning degrees from Delta State University and Jackson State University.
Lee's induction into the NJCAA Softball Hall of Fame further cements his legacy as one of the premier coaches in junior college softball history and adds another milestone to a career that began in Raymond with the Hinds softball program.
