Softball concludes 2015 season with DH split

The 2015 season came to an end for the Hinds Community College softball season on Wednesday, but not before the Lady Eagles were able to come away with one more victory to cap the season off.

Hinds won game one, 7-3, over Copiah-Lincoln Community College, before falling 8-0 in the nightcap.

Two former Brandon High School teammates, Bre Glenn and Courtenay Holt, led the way for the Lady Eagles in game one.

Glenn was a perfect 4-4 with three runs scored and two RBI, including a home run and a double. Holt was 3-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

Bailey Dodd (Gulfport) and Alexis Kinard (Terry) each added two hits to aid the 13-hit attack.

Bridgett Goss (Bogalusa, La.) went the distance in the circle yet again, scattering 11 hits but allowing only three runs (one earned) and striking out four to finish her season at 7-9.

Dodd got the only hit for the Lady Eagles in game two, as Hinds wrapped up the regular season with a 14-24 overall record and 8-20 mark in the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC).
