Coming off an upset win over Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, the Eagles were looking to move to 2-0 in south division play.

Following the turnover, Hinds drove into Jones territory once again. But, the Eagles couldn't cash in on a Ben Duncan (Florence) 39 yard field goal.

The Eagle offense couldn't grab any points after the turnover after the drive stalled in Jones territory.

The Bobcats extended their lead to 21-0 after a 45-yard touchdown pass from Quaterius Hawkins to Bud Tolbert.

On the following possesion, the Eagles were able to grab their first points of the contest. The drive consisted of five plays for 74 yards, capped off by a BeSean McCray 14-yard touchdown. The extra point by Ben Duncan was good.
