RAYMOND – Ben Duncan (Florence) has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the Eagle's 14-0 win over fourteenth-ranked Pearl River last Thursday.
 
This player of the week honor is the first for a Hinds Community College student-athlete during the 2022 fall season. Last year, Duncan was named conference special teams player of the week twice and national player of the week twice.
 
Duncan, who handles all of the punting duties for Hinds' special teams unit, had a career night against the Wildcats. The Florence native punted eight times for 380 yards and averaged 47.5 per kick. Two of his kicks were downed inside the 20 and he had a long of 71 yards. Duncan's second longest punt of the evening went 66 yards.
