Raymond Cheer Competes at Nationals

Raymond, MS - It was a long weekend for the Raymond Cheer squad as they traveled via bus to Orlando, FL to compete in the 2023 UCA/UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship. The team left late Thursday night after the showcase in Flowood and arrived the next morning to compete. The team competed in the Open Coed Cheer Gameday category along with other MACCC schools. Unfortunately, the team did not make it to the finals but they did improve upon the results from 2022. First year Head Coach Nobles said, "Our goal from the beginning was to hit a solid routine at nationals. We did! I am very pleased with their performance. We improved from 11th in the nation to 7th. The future is bright for this program."

The program looks to add to is roster this spring and summer in order to retool in time for the fall 2023 football season and the 2024 UCA Championships! If you are interested in joining the team, fill out a recruit questionnaire here.
