RAYMOND, Miss. – The Hinds Community College Men's and Women's Tennis teams dominated the Tigers of Northeast Mississippi Community College on Tuesday afternoon. 
 
Head Tennis Coach Jacki Millet stated, "The men's and women's tennis teams open conference play with a home match against Northeast Mississippi CC. Both teams had a successful day. I hope we can carry our momentum over for the matches against Holmes on Friday."
 
On the women's side, the Lady Eagles claimed the 5-1 victory after a rain shorten match.  Below are the results from winners in the match:
 
DOUBLES

1. Anic/Guedez won their match against Chapin/Wilbanks 8-0

SINGLES

1. Anic dominated her match against Wilbanks 6-0, 6-0
2. Guedez defeated Chapin 6-0, 6-0
3. Colon won a close battle 6-4, 6-2
4. Warner won the match against Kelley 6-3, 4-6, 10-3

On the men's side, the Eagles swept the Tigers 9-0 in conference play to move to 3-3 overall on the season. 
 
DOUBLES

1. Bilojelic/Juarez defeated Jackson/Talley 8-0
2. Courtney/Runnels won against McBrayer/Webber 8-1
3. Harper/ Jones swept won big against Brand/Marter 8-0

SINGLES

1. Bilojelic defeated Jackson 6-0, 6-1
2. Juarez defeated McBrayer 6-0, 6-1
3. Courtney won his match against Webber 6-1, 7⁷ -6⁵
4. Runnels defeated Marter 6-0, 6-1
5. El-Zare swept Talley 6-0, 6-0
6. Jones won his match over Brand 6-0, 6-0

Both teams will return to action on Friday, February 17^th against the Holmes Community College Bulldogs at the Cleon McNight Tennis Center on the campus of Hinds Community College in Raymond, Miss. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m.
