RAYMOND, Miss. – The Hinds Community College Women's Tennis team delivered a dominant performance Tuesday afternoon, sweeping Marion Military Institute Lady Tigers 9-0. Hinds controlled the match from the start, claiming all three doubles points before rolling through singles play in straight sets across the board.
In doubles action,
Rodia Noudogbessi and Daniela Lopez set the tone with an 8-2 victory at No. 1.
Macie Curtis and Jaqueline Vargas followed with a commanding 8-0 win at No. 2, while
Taryn Green and
Landry Parks completed the sweep with an 8-0 decision at No. 3.
The Lady Eagles carried that momentum into singles, winning all six matches in straight sets. Daniela Lopez earned a 6-2,6-4 win at No. 1, and
Rodia Noudogbessi cruised to a 6-0,6-3 victory at No. 2. Jaqueline Vargas posted a 6-0,6-1 win at No. 3, while
Macie Curtis blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4.
Landry Parks secured a 6-4,6-1 victory at No. 5, and Hinds capped the sweep with another straight sets win at No. 6.
Hinds will return to action on Friday, March 20
th against Copiah-Lincoln CC in Wesson. First serve is schedules for 11 AM.
