Two Former Eagles on NFL Rosters Heading into Training Camp

RAYMOND, Miss. – A pair of former Eagles are on NFL Rosters heading into the first week of NFL Training Camp. Charvarius Ward is currently with the San Francisco 49ers, and Chris Blair has inked a deal with the Atlanta Falcons.

Ward played two seasons at cornerback for Hinds (2014-15) where he tallied 64 tackles and four interceptions before transferring to Middle Tennessee State University. While at MTSU, Ward played in 25 games in two seasons and tallied 74 tackles and 19 pass breakups. In the NFL, Ward has played in 73 games with 287 total tackles, one sack, and five interceptions. Charvarius was recently named a Top 10 Cornerback entering the 2023 season, according to NFL Total Access on the NFL Network.

Chris Blair played two seasons at wide receiver for the Eagles (2016-2017) where he collected 16 receptions for 218 yards and three touchdowns before transferring to Alcorn State University. He finished his Alcorn career, having appeared in 26 games and tallied 87 receptions for 1,460 yards and 13 touchdowns. After his collegiate career, he spent some time on the Green Bay Packers Practice Squad. Last season, Blair appeared in 12 games for the D.C. Defenders of the XFL and recorded 26 receptions for 594 yards, three touchdowns, and made an appearance in the XFL Championship game.
