Humberto Pelaez Tabbed as Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach

RAYMOND, Miss. – Humberto Pelaez is the new Hinds Community College Assistant Men's Soccer Coach for the 2023 season. Pelaez is bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Hinds Men's Soccer program. 
 
Head Men's Soccer Coach Robert Gardner stated, "Humberto is the coach that was identified easily in the search process as my top choice as my assistant. He is an incredible professional with a reputation of improving players and teams as his standards are very high. He is the perfect fit for this project, and we are so excited to welcome him to the Hinds Family."
 
Before coming to Hinds, he was a Head Coach for the Brandon Futbol Club and Mississippi Rush United in the Jackson/Metro Area and is the Goalkeeper Director. 
 
Pelaez is the owner and founder of Goalkeeper Process LLC and has been training goalkeepers since 2017. Five keepers have committed to four-year universities in the last two years and nine committed to junior colleges in the past five years under the direction of Pelaez. 
 
Humberto played college soccer for Mississippi College where he was named the 2016 Gulf South Conference Player of the Year and helped the Choctaws to the 2016 Regular Season Championship. Additionally, he was two-time All-Conference and All-Region Player and was named the Goalkeeper of the decade for the Gulf South Conference. 
 
He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Mississippi College and has six classes left before he obtains a master's degree from Mississippi College in Athletic Administration.
