11 Qualify for NJCAA Outdoor Nationals at Jim Mize Invitational

RUSTON, La. – The Hinds Community College Track & Field teams put up impressive times as 11 athletes qualify for Nationals in the opening meet of the outdoor season.

On the women's side, Twshanna Huie clocked a time of 56.15 in the 400m dash to grab a third-place finish in the opener. Adriel Austin ran the 800m and had a second-place finish with a time of 2:20.03. Twshanna Huie, Caydence Brewer, La'Nica Locker, and Shaneil Johnson made up the women's 4x400 and finished with a time of 3:49.25, which is good enough for a third-place finish.

On the men's side, Ajani Daley ran the 100m and clocked a time of 10.43, which was a third-place finish. Hinds' 4x100m Relay team edged out Jackson state to earn a first-place finish with a time of 40.29. Ayomide Oyetunji, Tavon Davis, Jalin Moody, and Josh Perkins finished in first place in the 4x400m Relay, clocking a time of 3:11.10.
