WESSON, Miss. – The Hinds Community College women's soccer team delivered a strong performance on the road, earning a 4-1 victory over Copiah-Lincoln Community College on Tuesday evening.
Tori Keen got the scoring started around the 15-minute mark of the contest to take the early advantage. Co-Lin leveled the match 1-1 late in the first half, but Luiza Siecola found the back of the net to give the Lady Eagles the lead going into the halftime break.
The Lady Eagles carried their momentum into the second half, where
Pixie O'Hara took control of the attack. Assisted by
Anna McArthur, O'Hara extended the lead in the 54th minute and then struck again just four minutes later with an unassisted goal, sealing the 4-1 win.
Hinds will return to action on Friday, September 26 for a conference match against East Mississippi Community College at Tom Shepherd Field in Raymond. Kickoff is set for 5 PM.
