RAYMOND, Miss. – As the Spring 2026 season comes to a close, the Hinds eSports program is surging into playoff territory with impressive performances across multiple titles and divisions.

Super Smash Brothers Ultimate (SSBU)
Thomas Fair "Morty" (D1) has put together a competitive regular season, finishing with a 7-7 series record, earning a spot in the Top 8 in the Region. His consistent performances have kept Hinds in the conversation at the Division 1 level.

Russell Straight III "Keylarous" (D2) has been nothing short of dominant, posting a remarkable 16-2 series record. His near-perfect run has earned him a Top 6 ranking in the Nation. His strong play in Division 2 has been a key contributor to Hinds' overall presence at the national level in SSBU.

Aston Dowsing "Astro" (D2) has also had a standout season, finishing with a 10-3 series record and a Top 16 national ranking, making him one of the premier competitors in NJCAAe this season.

Madden
Julian Johnson "ASAINTKID05" (D1) has had one of the most impressive individual seasons in Hinds eSports history. Johnson finished the regular season with a perfect 10-0 series record, going undefeated throughout the entire season. He went on to win the Regional Finals and has now earned a spot competing for a berth in the NJCAAe D1 Grand Finals. That match is set to take place on Wednesday, May 5^th. The Hinds faithful will be watching closely as Johnson looks to carry the program to the grandest stage in community college eSports.

Cameron Smith "ISHADOWCHASE" (D1) has also had a solid showing in Madden, finishing with a 5-4 series record and earning a Top 8 national ranking. Smith's performances have complemented Johnson's dominant run and helped solidify Hinds as a Madden powerhouse at the Division 1 level.

NBA 2K
Cary Collins "bzrrq" (D3) capped off an outstanding season in NBA 2K with a 5-0 series record and a championship to show for it — winning the Division 3 Opt-In Tournament. Collins' undefeated run in tournament play is a highlight of the entire Hinds eSports program's season.
