COLLEGE: Named to Phi Theta Kappa, the national two-year honor society, for his work in the classroom. Played for Coach Temple in 2016.  Darius has signed to play at Alabama State University the fall of 2017.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Corbin Ellis at Yazoo County High School… Named to the 2015 Southeast Region Honorable Mention team by Perfect Game and was chosen as the Player of the Game on three occasions by MaxPreps… Named Best Pitcher by The Yazoo Herald, was chosen as the Team MVP and Best Pitcher at YCHS and played summer baseball with the Michigan Jets in 2015… Named to the All-Herald Team, was an All-District selection and was chosen as the Best Defensive Player in 2014, and was the team MVP, an All-State second team selection and was the Region 3-5A Player of the Year in 2013… Selected as the Best Pitcher at Yazoo City HS in 2011 and 2012… Two-time selection as the All-Herald Offensive Player of the Year as a record-setting quarterback in football… Named Team MVP in 2012 and was selected as the Rookie of the Year in 2011… Member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was a National Merit Award winner in science

PERSONAL: Graduate of Yazoo County HS in 2015… Resides in Yazoo City… Mother, Sonya Wright, played basketball at Holmes Community College… Son of Sonya and Clifton Wright… Business major
