Biography

COLLEGE: Saw action in 10 games as a freshman, making two starts. Totaled 19 inning and struck out 24 batters to earn a rate of 11.37 strikeouts per nine innings.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered two years under Mark Monaghan at Desoto Central High School. Went 7-2 in 45.2 innings pitched with 56 strikeouts and a 1.07 ERA as a junior. As a senior, he went 8-2 with 82 strikeouts in 50.2 innings pitched and a 1.80 ERA. Won the Cy Young Award twice, was selected as a North/South All-Star Game participant, and won a 6A State Championship in 2018. Member of the National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Graduated from Desoto Central in 2018. Son of Kenny and Susan Taylor. Majoring in Biology.
