COLLEGE: Spent the 2015 season as a Hinds freshman under Sam Temple… Finished his rookie campaign with 18 strikeouts in 15.1 innings of work, walking only eight batters and finishing with an 0-1 record… Named to the 2016 Top Junior College Players to Watch list by Collegiate Baseball and to the NJCAA Top Returning Pitchers list… Listed as the No. 49 junior college prospect in the country by PerfectGame.org… Signed with Mississippi State University during the fall 2015 early signing period… Named to Phi Theta Kappa, the national two-year honor society, and to Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges for his work in the classroom

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at North Pontotoc High School under Chad Anthony… Dual-sport star in both baseball and football at NPHS… 3A Player of the Year as a senior in 2014, as well as being selected as both the Most Valuable Player and Most Valuable Pitcher in Division 1-3A after hitting .480 with two home runs and 13 doubles… All-Division selection who was chosen to play in the Crossroads Diamond Club All-Star Game and Northeast Mississippi Coaches Association for Better Baseball (NEMCABB) All-Star Game in 2014… Record-setting quarterback in football, where he threw for over 5,000 career yards and played in the Northeast Mississippi Football Coaches Association (NEMFCA) All-Star Game after his senior season… Named to the Super 22, All-Division first team and was selected as the Most Valuable Back after finishing his senior season with 2,434 passing yards, 38 touchdowns and 11 interceptions… Member of the Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta and graduated with honors from NPHS
