Lady Bulldogs looking for first conference victory

The Lady Bulldogs of Hinds are still in a desperate search for their first South division win of the season after falling to 0-5 in conference on Monday, dropping a 77-70 decision at the hands of East Central Community College. The loss moved Hinds to 2-12 overall.

Raven Hubbard of Mendenhall, a sophomore forward, had a big night versus the Lady Warriors on Monday, pouring in a team-leading 18 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.

Kenya Wright of Jackson, a sophomore guard, led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with 18 points in a 66-53 loss to Pearl River Community College on Jan. 19. Hubbard chipped in 13 points and eight rebounds.

In a 78-54 loss to Copiah-Lincoln Community College on Jan. 16, it was Wright who had another monster night, finishing with 25 points.

The Lady Bulldogs travel to Goodman on Thursday to face Holmes Coast Community College at 6 p.m. The matchup will be of the non-conference variety.
