Lady Bulldogs defeated by Co-Lin on Thursday

The Hinds Community College Lady Bulldogs basketball team fell to Co-Lin Community College, 67-53, in Utica on Thursday night.

Sharlandria Winston (Camden) led the Lady Bulldogs with 13 points versus Co-Lin. The sophomore forward also grabbed four rebounds, two steals, one assist and one blocked shot.

Alisha Guynes (Magee) also finished in double digits on Thursday, scoring 12 points to help the Hinds offense.

The Lady Bulldogs (0-15 overall and 0-6 in the South) traveled to Summit on Tuesday night and fell, 57-44, to Southwest Community College.

Felicia Guynes (Magee) was the lone double digit scorer for Hinds, as she finished with 16 points on 8-11 shooting from the floor.

Hinds welcomed Jones County Junior College to Utica a week ago, but were soundly defeated by the Lady Bobcats, 76-37.

Mozetta Greenwood (Sharon) led all Hinds scorers with nine points on the night.

The Lady Bulldogs also suffered a 70-59 loss to East Central Community College on Monday, Jan. 13. Felicia Guynes was the only Hinds player to score in double digits, finishing with 13 points.

Hinds returns to action on Monday night, traveling to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for a South division showdown. Game time is set for 4 p.m. in Perkinston.
