The Lady Bulldogs of Hinds Community College dropped a 66-45 decision at the hands of Southwest Community College in women's basketball action on Thursday night in Utica.

Latorya Richmond (Columbia, La.) was the top point getter for the Lady Bulldogs on Thursday, scoring 12 points. The sophomore guard also pulled down two defensive rebounds against the Lady Bears.

Sharlandria Winston (Camden) had a solid night statistically, scoring 10 points and gathering eight rebounds, one blocked shot and one steal.

Richmond was the lone double digit scorer for Hinds on Monday night in Ellisville, an eventual 98-40 loss to Jones County Junior College.

A week ago yesterday, the Lady Bulldogs were defeated, 90-72, by East Central Community College in Utica.

The loss did not deter the efforts of Rajee McDonald (Port Gibson), as she led all scorers with 22 points, along with pulling down a game high eight rebounds.

Felicia Guynes (Magee) and Shegredda Shorter (Vicksburg) each chipped in with 10 points apiece.

Hinds was defeated, 66-49, by South division rival Meridian Community College on Monday, Feb. 3 at home, a game in which McDonald had another big night.

The sophomore guard had a team leading 15 points and six rebounds against the Lady Eagles of MCC.

The final week of the 2013-2014 regular season is now upon the Lady Bulldogs, as Hinds has just two more games remaining on the schedule. The Lady Bulldogs will head to Co-Lin Community College on Monday night at 8 p.m. before hosting Gulf Coast Community College on Thursday night in Utica for the season finale.

The final home game gets underway at 5:30 p.m. at J.D. Boyd Gym on the Utica Campus.
