Lady Bulldogs score win on Saturday at Coahoma

The Hinds Community College women's basketball team picked up a 71-68 non-conference victory at Coahoma Community College on Saturday.

The Lady Bulldogs improved to 6-4 overall and remained 0-2 in the South.

Hillary Kemp (Bay Springs) was the top scorer for Hinds in Saturday's win, scoring 16 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs.

Kaletreon Baker (Magnolia) had a big game as well, finishing with 15 points and three steals.

The Lady Bulldogs looked to get in the win column in South division play on Monday, Dec.7, but came away empty handed, falling 70-64 to Southwest Community College.

Adrianna Kemp (Bay Springs) had 15 points to lead Hinds and Areleatha Gipson (Montgomery, Ala.) had 11 points on the evening.

Hinds will return to play after the Christmas break, traveling to Goodman to take on Holmes Community College on Thursday, Jan. 7.
