Lady Bulldogs defeated by Pearl River

The women's basketball program at Hinds Community College dropped a 65-49 decision at the hands of Pearl River Community College in Utica on Monday night.

With the loss, the Lady Bulldogs now sit at 6-6 overall and 0-3 in the South division.

Adrianna Kemp (Bay Springs) led all Hinds scorers with 11 points on Monday night, and Areleatha Gipson (Montgomery, Ala.) had 10 points in the losing effort.

Isheer Davis (Raymond) had a monster game on the glass, pulling down a team-high 11 rebounds.

Hinds opened up the 2016 portion of the schedule against Holmes Community College on Thursday, Jan. 7, but came away with a 74-53 loss.

Davis was the lone threat for Hinds on the evening, leading the team in both points (11) and rebounds (six).

The Lady Bulldogs return to action on Thursday, traveling to Meridian Community College. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
