Two straight wins for women's hoops

The Hinds Community College Lady Bulldogs picked up their second consecutive victory on Monday night in Utica, defeating Meridian Community College in blowout fashion, 81-50.
 
The two wins moved the Lady Bulldogs overall record to 9-11 and 3-8 in the South division.
 
Kaletreon Baker (Magnolia) had a complete all-around game versus Meridian, as she finished with 18 points, four assists, two rebounds and one steal.
 
Annessia Durham (Utica) had a big game as well, scoring 17 points and pulling down four boards.
 
The Lady Bulldogs also picked up a 61-55 victory on the road at Pearl River Community College on Thursday, Feb. 4.
 
Alexia Williams (McCalla, Ala.) had 13 points, five rebounds and three steals to key the narrow road win.
 
Areleatha Gipson (Montgomery, Ala.) had 10 points and three rebounds in the victory.
 
Hinds will now East Central Community College on Thursday night in Utica, with the opening tip set for 5:30 p.m.
