JACKSON, Miss. -
Dylan Coleman of the Hinds Community College Baseball team was named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Player of the Week for the first time this season on Tuesday.
Coleman played five games last week for the Eagles and tallied a .733 batting average with three homeruns, four doubles, and scored nine runs. His best performace on the week came against Copiah-Lincoln Community College when he went 3-4 from the plate, hit two homeruns, and posted five RBI.
On the season, the sophomore finished the regular season with a .410 batting average, a team-high 1.278 OPS, a team-high .783 slugging percentage, and is second on the team with 66 hits.
Coleman and the rest of the Eagles will return to action on Thursday, May 4 against the Itawamba Community College Indians in the Region 23 Best of 3 playoffs for a spot in the Region 23 Tournament. First pitch on Thursday is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
