UTICA, Miss. – The Hinds Community College Men's Basketball team are set to open the 2024-25 season against Delgado Community College tonight inside J.D. Boyd Gymnasium at 7:30 PM.
Head Coach Jonathan Nevol stated, "This team is young, hungry, and determined. They want to prove that hard work and unity can overcome any challenge. This season our strength isn't in experience but in unity and toughness. Our goal this season is to build our legacy together, one game at a time."
The Bulldogs returning players include
Marquis Williams (Mendenhall),
Isaac Ratliff (Terry),
Jakobe Singleton (Woodville), and
Matthew Sandifer (Jackson).
Gabe Fajardo is the only transfer on the roster coming in from Florida National University.
Newcomers include
Daveon Henry (Yazoo City),
Austin Ratliff (Jackson),
Caleb Howard (Grenada),
Kemonte Wright (Utica),
Samuel Thompson (Clinton),
Jayce Graham (Southaven),
Jakorey Johnson (Gulfport),
Jakobey Johnson (Gulfport), Kayden Hayes (Jackson), and
Antanel Pierre (Nassau, Bahamas).
The Bulldogs will play in 16 non-conference matchups and 14 MACCC contests over the course of the season. Additionally, Hinds will play 13 home games and 17 away contests including two classics.
The 2024-25 coaching staff for this season include Head Coach Jonathan Nevol and Assistant Coach Tremayne Russell.
