JACKSON, Miss. – Six members of the Hinds Community College softball team were named to the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference's All-Conference team, which was announced by the league office on Today.
Ellie Williamson was named to the All-MACCC First Team. Williamson finished the season with a .378 batting average, .488 OBP, and 48 RBI which led the team in those categories. Additionally, she played all 48 games for the Lady Eagles and totaled 51 hits over the course of the season.
Taylor Nelson was named to the All-MACCC Second team as an infielder. Nelson led the Lady Eagles in multiple offensive categories which includes runs scored (51), Homeruns (10), and Slugging percentage (.705).
Alexis Moran was named to the All-MACCC Honorable Mention Team as an outfielder. Moran was an anchor at Left Field for the Lady Eagles as she played in 47 games for Hinds. She primarily hit in the second spot in the lineup and was third on the team with a .448 OBP and stole 13 bases.
Melissa Lopera was also named to the All-MACCC Honorable Mention Team as she played all 48 games at shortstop. Lopera finished the season with 15 doubles, three homers, and 40 RBI.
Kyleigh Forsyth was the third Lady Eagle to be named to the All-MACCC Honorable Team as a Pitcher. Forsyth was dominant in the circle for Hinds as she was the ace on the staff. Kyleigh finished the season with a 16-5 record in the circle over 124 innings and struck out 69 batters.
Sara Long was the final Lady Eagle to be named to the All-MACCC Honorable Mention Team. Long had a team-high of 18 doubles on the season and played in 46 contests. Additionally, Sara was the primary catcher for the Lady Eagles and posted a .352 batting average.
