Tyler, Texas — Hinds Community College freshman standout Daniela Rodriquez has been named the 2025 ITA Rookie of the Year at the NJCAA Division I Women's Tennis National Championship. The prestigious award, presented by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, recognizes the top first-year player in the nation for her outstanding performance, sportsmanship, and impact on her team.

Rodriquez, a native of Caracas, Venezuela, turned heads all season with her aggressive baseline play, strong court presence, and unshakable composure in high-stakes matches. She capped off her debut season by helping lead Hinds to a strong showing at nationals and competing with consistency against some of the best players in the country.
