RAYMOND, Miss. - The Hinds Community College Softball program is proud to highlight eight former players who are continuing their softball careers at the next level.
River Boultinghouse – Centenary College (2023) - River is going to be a Redshirt Junior for Centenary College. River moved on after her freshman year at Hinds and was an everyday infielder for the Catahoula's while hitting .260 as a sophomore. River looks to return to the field in 2026 after taking a medical redshirt in 2024-2025.

Riley Myers – Centenary College (2023) - Riley spent one year with the Eagles before moving on to Centenary. Her sophomore season she spent season as one of 3 main arms for the Catahoulas. In 55 innings of work, Riley tallied 2 wins and a 3.75 ERA. She looks to finish out her career healthy after spending most of her junior season sidelined due to an injury.

Taylor Nelson – Missouri S&T University (2024) - Taylor had an outstanding freshman season at Hinds, earning All-Conference and All-Region 23 honors. Now at Missouri S&T, she quickly became a standout for the Miners in 2025, leading the team in most offensive categories. She finished with a .320 batting average, eight home runs, and 30 RBIs. Taylor aims to help lead the Miners to another conference championship in her junior season.

Ellie Williamson – Belhaven University (2024) - After transferring to Hinds,
Ellie Williamson made a huge impact on the infield earning All-Conference and All-Region honors. She anchored the Eagle offense spending most of her time in the top 4 spots of the lineup. Upon transferring to Belhaven, Ellie finished 3
rd in average, 3
rd in RBI and 4
th in total home runs. In the regional, she led all Blazers with hits (5) and RBI (7) in their 3 games. For her senior season, Williamson looks to anchor the Blazer lineup while improving on their 32-win season.

Melissa Lopera – Belhaven University (2024 & 2025) - Melissa was a two-year starting shortstop at Hinds, earning All-Conference honorable mention as a freshman and second-team honors as a sophomore. Her impressive 2025 season included a .385 average, 31 RBIs, and 22 extra-base hits out of 50 total hits. Melissa now joins former teammate
Ellie Williamson and a strong transfer class at Belhaven.

Maddie Bruner – Belhaven University (2025) - After transferring to Hinds following her freshman season, Maddie became a driving force in the Eagles' offense. She posted a .333 average with 34 RBIs and 10 home runs, earning All-Conference honors. Nearly half of her 43 hits went for extra bases. Bruner now joins her former teammates at Belhaven, aiming to make an immediate impact.

Emily Vicknair – Belhaven University (2024 & 2025) - Emily spent two years in the Hinds pitching rotation. As a freshman, she worked mostly out of the bullpen, earning five wins, four saves, and a 3.90 ERA in 67 innings. She stepped up as the staff ace in her sophomore season, leading with 100 innings, eight wins, and a 3.25 ERA. Emily now looks to carve out her role on Belhaven's strong pitching staff, supported by several familiar faces behind her.

Shelby Allen – Delta State University (2024 & 2025) - Shelby played two seasons as an outfielder for Hinds in a highly competitive group. Though her role was limited, she contributed a .250 average and scored 15 runs over two seasons. Now at Delta State, Shelby joins a large incoming class and will compete for time in the Fighting Okra outfield.
