ROBINSONVILLE, Miss. – The Hinds Community College men's golf team finished fourth at the three-round Ranger Men's Invitational, carding a 54-hole team score of 29-over par at Tunica National Golf Course.

Hinds opened the tournament with a +9 before posting a +11 in the second round and a +9 in the final round to finish at +29 for the tournament. The Eagles finished ahead of Pearl River CC, Copiah-Lincoln CC, Itawamba CC, Southwest Mississippi CC and Dyersburg State Community College. 

Bryce Fairley led the Eagles individually; finishing tied for fourth with a -2. Fairley opened with a (+4) 76 before responding with a (-4) 68 in the second round and a (-2) 70 in the final round. His 68 was tied for one of the tournament's best individual rounds. 

Leandro Izquierdoz was next for Hinds, finishing 13th overall at +5. He recorded rounds of 2-over 74, 2-over 74 and 1-over 73. 

Matthew Jones finished tied for 16th at +12, while Bradley Cohen placed tied for 24th at +15. Jones carded rounds of -1, +5 and +8, while Cohen posted rounds of 4-over 76, 8-over 80 and 3-over 75. 

Guillermo Barrado finished tied for 39th at 22-over par, and Landon Maples placed 53rd at 54-over par. 

Northwest Mississippi won the team championship at 8-over par, followed by East Central CC (+13) and Jones College (+18). 

Hinds Golf will return to action on September 14-15 in Corinth for the Northeast Invitational at Shiloh Ridge Athletic Club.
