UTICA, Miss. – Head Women's Basketball Coach Brandon Taylor announces the addition of Assistant Women's Basketball Coach on Thursday as the program prepares for the 2025-26 season. Gabrielle "Gabby" Crawford will join Taylor who enters his second season as Head Coach of the Lady Bulldogs.
Head Coach Brandon Taylor stated, "I am extremely excited about the addition of Coach Crawford to the Hinds Community College Women's basketball family! Coach Crawford brings tremendous experience having competed at a high level in NCAA Division 1 and played professionally. Her background and passion for the game will be a great asset to our program."
Gabrielle "Gabby" Crawford is entering her first season as an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Hinds Community College. She is a dedicated coach and former professional athlete known for her leadership, resilience, and commitment to mentoring young women through basketball.
Crawford brings a championship mindset, deep tactical knowledge, and a passion for player development grounded in discipline, structure, and heart. Previously, she served as the Head Girls' Basketball Coach at Craigmont High School, where she led her team to a 2024–2025 MSCIAA City Championship Runner-Up finish while also teaching Anatomy and Lifetime Wellness. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes accountability, resilience, and excellence on and off the court.
Before coaching, Gabby had a decorated collegiate career playing Division I basketball at Ole Miss, Morehead State, and La Salle University, earning honors such as OVC All-Newcomer Team and 3× OVC Newcomer of the Week. She extended her career professionally overseas in Germany, Mexico, and Portugal, consistently ranking among the top players in scoring, rebounding, and blocks.
