Lady Bulldogs win thriller over Coahoma

The Lady Bulldogs of Hinds Community College picked up a thrilling 51-50 victory over Coahoma Community College at J.D. Boyd Gym in Utica on Thursday night.

Tyquisha Naylor (Meridian) was highly effective in the win over Coahoma, as she scored nine points, grabbed eight rebounds and had six steals and five assists.

Felicia Guynes (Magee) was solid as well, finishing with eight points and eight rebounds, along with blocking a shot.

Hinds (2-9) came back from the Christmas break on Tuesday night looking for a victory against Holmes Community College, but were unable to, falling by the score of 81-40.

Tiana Roby (Vicksburg) and Latasha Arnold (Hazlehurst) each scored in double digits against Holmes, as Roby had a team-leading 12 points and Arnold finished with 11 points.

The Lady Bulldogs will head to Poplarville on Monday night to take on Pearl River Community College at 5 p.m.
