Women's basketball season comes to a close

FINAL STATISTICS

The 2014-2015 basketball season came to a close for the Hinds Community College Lady Bulldogs on Thursday night in Utica, as Hinds fell to visiting Jones County Junior College, 90-49.

Erica Harris (Edwards) was the lone double-digit scorer for the Lady Bulldogs last night, finishing with 10 points. The freshman guard also blocked a shot.

The Lady Bulldogs (2-21) had their last road game of the season on Monday in Perkinston and the outcome was heartbreaking, as Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College came away with a thrilling 60-59 victory over Hinds.

Latasha Arnold (Hazlehurst) had a huge night, as she led all scorers with 23 points.

Te'Ara Thompson (Pascagoula) also had a big night in her return to the coast, finishing with 12 points in the one-point loss.

The final statistical leaders in major categories are as follows:

Points – Erica Harris (6.9 ppg)

Rebounds – Felicia Guynes (3.7 rpg)

Assists – Tyquisha Naylor (2.0 apg)

Steals – Tyquisha Naylor (1.0 spg)

Blocked shots – Felicia Guynes (0.3 bpg)

Minutes – Tiana Roby (23.8 mpg)
