BROOKHAVEN, Miss. - The Hinds Community College Golf team wrapped up their second tournament of the season, competing in the MACCC Event #2 that was host by Copiah Lincoln Community College at Brookhaven Country Club. Hinds placed 3rd among the 10 teams, and were led by Stephen Faucheaux and Christopher Cain who both finished in the top 3.

Stephen Faucheaux fired a 63 (-7) in his opening round of play, which is the new school record for Hinds. He followed his stellar first round play shooting a 68 (-2) in the final round to grab his first collegiate victory of his career. Christopher Cain finished the tournament with a third place finish among individuals with a score of 140 (-2,+2) during the two-day invitational. 

Trevor Antley finished in the top 30 among individuals and fired a score of 154 (+2,+12), while Daniel Stringer finished the two-day invitational with a score of 158 (+7,+11). Rounding out the scoring for the Eagles was Connor Shurden who cared a 163 (+8,+15).

Hinds will return to the links on October 7-8 when they travel to Meridian for the MACCC Event #3, hosted by Meridian Community College at Briarwood Country Club.
