Hinds Soccer Set to Host 2024 Kickoff Dinner on August 2nd

RAYMOND, Miss. – The Hinds Community College Men's and Women's soccer program will host the 2nd Annual Kickoff Dinner at 6:00 PM on Friday, August 2nd, at Mayo Fieldhouse on the Raymond Campus.

Hinds Community College Director of Athletics Nathan Werremeyer will have some opening remarks to kick off the program, followed by Hinds Community College Foundation Executive Director Matt Jones, who will serve as the emcee for the event.

Our guest speaker who will headline the dinner will be David Simmonds, the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company. He joined the Company in 1989 after he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a Master of Arts degree in Statistics from Mississippi State University. He became an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) in 1993. David received a Certificate in Accountancy from Mississippi College in 2002 and earned a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation in 2003.

Next on the agenda will be team introductions when first-year Head Coach Lydia Kazery will introduce the women's soccer program, followed by Head Men's Soccer Coach Robert Gardner, who will introduce the Men's Soccer team.
