1994 BASEBALL
The 1994 season in Raymond was one for the record books, as the Eagles became the first Mississippi team to play in the Division II World Series in Millington, Tenn., where they finished 1-2 on the tournament. Hinds swept the Region XXIII Championship in three games before moving on to the super regional tournament in Livingston, Ala. It was here that the Eagles defeated Chattahoochee Valley Community College in the best two-of-three series. The head coach was Rick Clarke and he was assisted by Grady Turman.
2014 BASEBALL
The 2014 campaign was one of early season struggles that turned into near triumph, as the Eagles were mere inches away from capturing the program's first national championship. Hinds started the season 4-8, but would rebound and finish 40-21 and make it all the way to the NJCAA national championship game. It was here that the Eagles fell, 9-7, in 11 innings to eventual champion Mesa (Ariz.) Community College, but a remarkable run with a freshman-heavy roster was one of the most memorable runs in school history. The head coach was Sam Temple and he was assisted by Dan Rives, Chad Bradford (former 1994 team member and Hinds Sports Hall of Famer) and Tim Axton.
